As per the recommendation of the Gauhati University, the Department of History of DakshinKamrup Girls’ College, Mirza organized a field trip on 29/12/2022 to North Guwahati of Kamrup District of Assam with the BA 4th Semester students (both Honours and Regular) for their Skill Enhancement Course. The main objective of this Course is to expand knowledge to the historical monuments, cultural and ecological elements and places of Assam among the students. Along with faculty members of the Department almost 43 students participate in this field trip.
After the field trip, the students carry out a project entitled “Historical Importance of North Guwahati”. All the students of BA 4th Semester (Honours and Regular) submitted their project to the Department. The main purpose of the project is to unearth the historical importance of North Guwahati and how it served as a tourist attraction spot for the state.

The 2-day ICSSR-sponsored National Seminar came to end with the Valedictory Session held on 19th November, 2022. The valedictory session was chaired by Dr. Nara Kanta Adhikary, Principal, Dakshin Kamrup Girls’ College, Mirza. Dr. Jagannath Barman, Coordinator of IQAC, Dakshin Kamrup Girls’ College, Mirza was the resource person of the session. In his speech he emphasized the importance of oral history in the reconstruction of history of freedom movement of India. In his chairperson speech Dr. Nara Kanta Adhikary remarked the important and contributions of the seminar to the society as well as the existing research body. Certificates were awarded to the participants by the organizing committee of the seminar. In his chairperson speech Dr. Nara Kanta Adhikary remarked the important and contributions of the seminar to the society as well as the existing research body. Certificates were awarded to the participants by the organizing committee of the seminar. The valedictory session was come to end with the vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Ripun Doley, HoD, History & Convenor of the National Seminar, Dakshin Kamrup Girls’ College, Mirza. One week online Faculty Development Programme on ‘Digital Teaching Learning Methods’ was organised by IQAC & Skill and Human Resource Development Cell, Dakshin Kamrup Girls’ College, Mirza in collaboration with ICT Academy from 22-28 July 2022. There were 140 participants mainly faculties of different colleges and universities from all over India actively participated in the programme.
Inaugural Ceremony: The programme was started by Mr. Shashanka Medhi, the moderator of the programme with his brief introduction about the programme at 3.00 P.M. The welcome address was given by Dr. Ripun Doley, Convenor of the FDP & the coordinator of Skill and Human Resource Development Cell, Dakshin Kamrup Girls’ College. He welcomed the resource person as well as the participants to the FDP. The inaugural speech was delivered by Dr. Nara Kanta Adhikary, Principal of Dakshin Kamrup Girls’ College. He mainly focused on the importance of digital literacy and the digital teaching learning methods for the faculties in the present era.
Soon after the inaugural speech over, the moderator introduced the resource person of the programme Mr. Partha Pratim Pathak. The resource person took classes and provided training to the participants on the mention topics in the following schedule.
Day 1: Online Teaching Tools.
Day 2: Creation and Management of Google Classroom.
Day 3: Online evaluation tools and techniques.
Day 4: Online Quiz through Google form, Quizizz and other tools.
Day 5: Design and Development of MOOCS Courses and E-Content Development.
Day 6: Concept Mapping.
Day 7: Final Assessment and Feedback of the participants.
Question & answer and training session were held regularly at the end of the every session. Regular feedbacks were also collected from the participants.
Closing ceremony: The closing ceremony was held on 27th July 2022 at 5.00 P.M. The closing remarks was delivered by Dr. Nara Kanta Adhikary, Principal Dashin Kamrup Girls’ College. In the closing speech he appreciated the ICT Academy, the resource person and the convenor of the programme. The vote of thanks speech was given by Dr. Ripun Doley, Convenor of the FDP & the coordinator of Skill and Human Resource Development Cell, Dakshin Kamrup Girls’ College. In the speech he thanked and acknowledged all the contributors who helped to make the programme a grand success. The closer speech was given by the moderator and he thanked everyone for support and cooperation.
On 28th July 2022 final Assessment and Feedback was collected from every participant and thereafter the e-certificate were sent to the participants respective email id.

In such situation, the IT companies has focused on the development of tools which are both engaging, inclusive and cater to the needs of the 21st century generation. This online one week FDP is carefully designed to enhance the foundational knowledge of online teaching-learning methods for both teachers and students. The participants will be acquainted with online teaching-learning methods. The participants will be familiarized with online teaching-learning tools, online evaluation process, development of E-Content, online peer and collaborative learning. The FDP will be mainly focused on the various technological tools and its uses in academic teaching-learning process which will make the whole process more engaging and inclusiveness. After successful completion of the programme, the participants will be able to utilize all important online teaching learning tools which will help them in their respective profession.
